Some time ago, Giulio started working with BreakCotto. This is not just news worth sharing—it’s a story that deserves to be told and remembered.
Giulio is one of the autistic individuals selected by ANGSA Lazio to take part in the BreakCotto project, thanks to the collaboration with IVS Italia. The project was created with a clear goal: to offer real and dignified job opportunities to people on the autism spectrum, supporting them on their journey toward independence and personal growth.
“In this new work experience, I feel great because I really enjoy this job. […] I get along very well with my tutor. […] I like being busy and engaged in doing something, because I see it as something very useful for my path toward autonomy.” — Giulio
Giulio’s work involves restocking vending machines with snacks, beverages, and non-food products, supported by a trained tutor. Every day, Giulio carries out practical tasks, interacts with colleagues, faces small challenges, and builds his own future—step by step.
“It’s very important to keep yourself busy during the day, to build your own path toward independence. And above all, to be able to earn your own personal money.” — said Giulio, with simplicity and awareness.
These words capture the deep sense of dignity that work can bring.
This experience is made possible thanks to the shared vision of BreakCotto, ANGSA Lazio, and IVS Italia: believing in everyone’s potential, valuing differences, and building inclusive and sustainable paths.
Today, Giulio is part of our team. And his story is one of many that remind us why we do what we do.
