The virtuous cycle of PET in vending machines
The single‑use plastic bottles found in vending machines are made from just one type of plastic: PET, a premium material that is 100% recyclable, does not lose its essential properties during the recycling process, and can be transformed repeatedly.
PET bottles are unbreakable, lightweight and resealable, and meet the strict hygiene requirements of the food sector.
How it works
The recovery process
Dedicated collection
RI‑PET is a project that promotes the separate collection of PET bottles inside vending areas, using specially designed collection bins.
01
A cycle that renews itself
The goal is to collect bottles after use and reintegrate them into the production process, transforming them into new rPET bottles (recycled PET).
This system creates an efficient circular economy specifically within the vending sector.
02
The smart container
Next to each vending machine, a dedicated bin is installed with an elliptical opening designed for properly crushed bottles. This ensures orderly and compact collection of the material.
03
The final objective: Bottle2Bottle
The RI‑PET project aims for a true BOTTLE2BOTTLE system: a virtuous model in which every recycled bottle becomes a new bottle, closing the circle of sustainability.
